Dear Reader, Goated Nation was born from the profound love and loss of my son, Keenan, whose life and legacy continue to inspire every endeavor we undertake. Keenan was a young man of immense potential. He was not waiting for change - he was creating it. He was already in the thick of challenging the systems that often hold young Black men back, mentoring his peers, and helping them find their own voice and purpose. Although his life was tragically cut short, his spirit and values guide us as we work to empower the next generation. I’m deeply grateful to our volunteers for their dedication, our donors for their generosity, and our presenters for inspiring and empowering our youth. I also want to thank our Board of Directors for their leadership and vision, which help us stay focused on our mission and continually move forward. Keenan’s legacy isn’t in what was lost - it’s in the work we continue to do. Together, we are making a lasting difference.
